Welcome to BMES at UTK
The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) is a professional society for biomedical engineering students.
We are a student-led organization focused on academic success, pre-professional development, competition, and outreach in the field of Biomedical Engineering. Students of any major are welcomed at meetings and events. We organize tours of local biomedical facilities, academic and research lectures, professional development workshops, and volunteer opportunities within the Knoxville community. 
Our chapter is a part of the foundation for BMES and hoping to change the future of the biomedical engineering profession. We are involved in innovative technology and professional networking nationally. The chapter promotes membership in BMES by acquainting the student body with the ideas, purposes, and objectives of biomedical engineering.
