Engineer's day
Undergraduate engineering classes are dismissed for one day in the fall for UTK students and faculty to interact with potential UTK engineering students from local high schools. BMES sets up a display every year for the potential students, where biomedical engineering is explained in a way where everyone can relate and understand. We engage students visiting through discussion, project demonstrations, and activities specific to engineering. Anyone in BMES is able to volunteer this day to promote the field of engineering.
